FFT President Bob Gordon is pleased to announce that current Director, Daniel Hanna has been elected to the position of Deputy President.
Daniel joined the board in August 2016 and has a long background in football as a player in Tasmania and the ACT, and currently as a junior coach and volunteer. Daniel has held the position of Executive General Manager – Corporate Affairs at Federal Group since 2011. Prior to taking up this role, he spent 8 years working in association management in Tasmania – as the CEO of the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania and prior to this, the General Manager of the Australian Hotels Association. He returned to Tasmania in 2003 after holding senior positions in the Commonwealth Government in Canberra with the Department of Finance and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the Australian National University and a PhD from the University of Tasmania.
Daniel is a member of the Board’s Infrastructure Review sub-committee. He is a strong advocate for developing higher standard facilities around the state to support the local growth in the world game, an area the board has prioritised moving forwards.
