Football Operations Manager
Football is the most played team sport in Tasmania, with more than 40,000 people involved including players, coaches, volunteers and referees. Football Tasmania (FT) has an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the continued growth and development of the world game in this state.
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the newly created role of Football Operations Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this role will see the successful candidate strengthening club relationships, building club capacity, and supporting the growth and development of community football programs and related initiatives. This role will enable clubs to improve and strengthen their capability to deliver football programs, and build inclusive, active, resilient local football communities across metropolitan and regional Tasmania. It will also support clubs in respect to meeting the NPL and WSL criteria.
The primary purposes of this role are to:
- Managing competitions across Tasmania including fixtures, regulations, referee appointments, game changes, futsal, registration support and compilation of statistics, including yellow and red cards
- Coordinating the continued implementation of the 2019 Competition Review outcomes
- Overseeing the general operations of football including member protection, key projects and state team logistics
