Football Federation Tasmania (FFT) believes that it is important that all our stakeholders, including Clubs and Councils are aware of the opportunity that currently exists to grow and upgrade football facilities across Tasmania.

The Sport and Recreation Major Grants Program helps provide assistance to organisations that promote sport, recreation and an active lifestyle in Tasmania. It does this by providing grants of between $15,000 and $80,000 to clubs, associations, local government and other not-for-profit providers of sport to purchase major equipment purchases and/or the development/improvement of facilities or playing surfaces that directly benefit sport and recreation clubs and improve opportunities for Tasmanians to participate in sport and active recreation.

This gives Club’s the opportunity to apply for support to deliver projects such as new lighting, new pitches or pitch upgrades and building female-friendly change rooms and facilities.

Applications for grants under the 2018-19 Sport and Recreation Major Grants Program are now open and must be received by 12 noon on Thursday, 1 November 2018.

Eligible projects must benefit sport and/or recreation clubs. Applicants must contribute at least half of the project funding.

Grant Round closes 1 November 2018 at noon.
